The Gothia Cup is the largest and most international youth soccer tournament in the world. Every year, around 1700 teams from 80 countries participate and over 4500 games are played on 110 courses.
It was held for the first time in 1975 and in the first year, the girls were welcome to participate in the Gothia Cup, something unusual for the time, but which became a great success.
Over the years, more than one million players from a total of 149 countries have participated in this tournament.
It is the teams and participants from around the world that make the Gothia Cup a unique tournament. A meeting place for young people from all over the world, regardless of religion, skin color or nationality and gender, with football as a common denominator.
